Emotions: If you focus on feeling better, you will never feel better.
Why: Feelings are merely the tail end of emotions. First emotions move you to action through your habits. Then, later, you feel the feelings.
So: Before you even feel sad, you are already drinking, overworking or overeating. Before you even feel shame, you are already self-righteous and judgmental. Before you even feel disgust or disappointment, you are already hurting your loved ones with cold shoulders and dirty looks.
